Pk is an up-stroke, like T

A reader wrote in and wasn't sure whether the Pk was a down-stroke (like M) or an up-stroke (like T). I'll definitely make that clear in a future revised edition, but: it's an up-stroke, like T. (So, more like a pluck, if you will.)
I think this style seems neat, yet I am still baffled. U state that the thumb seems picked… yet in normal clawhammer it is not picked, it lands naturally on the 5th drone string! I simply don’t get when a finger is pushing down, like a brush stroke, or up, like a pluck!
